Facebook Ventures Into Real Online Gambling
Facebook and Gibraltar-based online gambling giant Gamesys
ventures into online gaming with real cash involved. Previously, Facebook
offers applications where users can play or gamble using merely tokens either
freely-offered or purchased such as in "Texas Hold’em Poker" and "Farmville", two of the most patronized applications offered by Facebook.
But for the first time, the world’s most popular social
networking hub will dip its fingers into real online gambling, using real
money.
The game is called Bingo & Slots Frenzy where players
can choose a selection of 90 different ball and slots games using real cash, a
sort of online casino for Facebook users.
However, the Bingo & Slots game will only be available
in United Kingdom. There is no announcement as of now as to whether it would be
made available to the rest of Facebook users in other territories, probably
concerned over age limitations and online ethics issues. Facebook and Gamesys
have taken measures to ensure that all players will be above the 18 years old
age limitation.
It was reported that Facebook will gain 30% of revenues
while Gamesys will take a 70% share. Insider reports have pegged Facebook
earnings to grow by billions of dollars for venturing into online gambling, as
Facebook has aimed to increase its profits as quickly as possible. Facebook top
executives have stated that this moves is part of a long-term strategy to keep
the company’s earnings on the rise.
While this new venture of Facebook may definitely boosts its
company value, there should be anticipation on ethical issues especially that
Facebook promotes itself as ultimately safe and user friendly online public module,
accessible to almost anyone, primarily aimed at social interaction and wholesome
entertainment.
Perhaps, Facebook is holding its rein, observing how the
public will respond to this new feature added to its list of applications.

Jet Set Radio Future
Based on the highly popular 2000 game “Jet Grind Radio”, Smilebit has released an HD version of such to be renamed “Jet Set Radio” last summer of 2012.
“Jet Set Radio” was originally developed for the Sega gaming console but Vicarious Visions had published editions for the PlayStation gaming network as well as Xbox Live Arcade and Microsoft Windows platform.
The game is set in the city of Shibuya-cho, where Professor K, a DJ at a pirate radio station, tells the story of ‘rudies’ in Tokyo-to, who goes around city streets and nooks skating and spraying as a means of self-expression.
The game plot revolves around spraying certain marked areas in the form of tagging, involving various challenges and travails along the way.
Jet Grind Radio is one of those "something for everyone" games that really make a perfect addition to the Dreamcast library.
Each level gives you a time limit, a life meter, and a ton of areas that must be tagged before you can proceed. You'll encounter resistance in the form of gangs tagging over your tags and various levels of response from law enforcement officials. The law starts out small - a ragtag bunch of keystone cops who run after you with nightsticks. But as you move forward, the law gets more and more severe. Eventually, you'll face tear gas-launching cops in full riot gear, tanks, or find yourself surrounded by gunship helicopters that launch skater-seeking missiles in your direction. You also have to deal with the ever-present Officer Onishima, a roughneck cop with a gigantic pistol and a bad case of five o'clock shadow. Should you get caught in Onishima's sights, he'll chase after you, firing off rounds that will send you flying to the ground.
Aside from the game itself, there's also a limited graphic editor included. You can use the editor to create your own graffiti tags for use alongside the tons of artwork already hidden throughout the game. You can also save JPEG files to your VMU using the Dreamcast web browser and import them directly into the editor for use as tags.
Jet Grind Radio is one of those "something for everyone" games that really make a perfect addition to the Dreamcast library that no one should be without.

NCAA Football 13
From EA Sports, another sports game spectacle will be up in the offing with the upcoming “NCAA Football 13”, a successor to the highly-rated “NCAA Football 12”.The game will feature major changes and enhancements particularly to the quarterback position which will include 20 new drop backs move, 25 trajectory regions as well as several new quarterback avoidance moves.
Likewise, “NCAA Football 13” will include rule changes in real-time NCAA regulations involving the location of kick-offs and the new position of ball at the 25 yard line in case of a touchback instead of 20.
The cover of the game will feature 2011 Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III and Barry Sanders, a pass winner of the Heisman Trophy himself.
The release of NCAA Football 13 is only a few short weeks away. But what do we know about the game so far? The demo is out, so the short answer is a lot. But there are a number of things that remain uncertain that will affect whether NCAA Football 13 goes down as the best NCAA game of this console generation or as another disappointment.
NCAA Football 13s Dynasty mode is more addictive than ever with recruiting and scouting upgrades, plus even more ways to interact with your Dynasty from the web. Game days come to life with mid-game updates featuring new studio analyst, Rece Davis, and the addition of the ESPN Bottom Line ticker to keep you up-to-date on scores relevant to your Dynasty.
With a new passing system that changes the way quarterbacks and receivers play and respond, combined with a new read and react defensive AI system, NCAA Football 13 delivers greater realism on the virtual gridiron.
